How to get deserving RN job in USA? As a recently migrated IEN from India, despite having diverse experience of 16 years, holding MSN and possessing CA RN, facing difficulties in entering health sector due to lack of US experience and references.
Those of us who are in California are also dealing with a huge Nursing shortage. We have many RN travelers here, and CA tends to pay well. Have you had your resume professionally done? A great resume and learning how to interview well can make all the difference in the world.A master’s degree doesn’t mean much unless you’re in management/leadership. Good luck to you!
I am just finding it odd that there are those who state CA has absolutely no nursing shortages, from people that don’t even live here. It may not be practical advice for you to leave CA , especially if your family is here and they are helping you get settled in the US. Those who tell you that there are no jobs here may have never worked in CA before, or have some kind of issue with this beautiful state. Can’t afford to live here? The politics? That’s ok, that leaves more space for us Californians to enjoy and not hear that negativity.
Move out of California to a state that actually has nursing shortage will help.
