You always get up in plenty of time to start your day to get ready ! I would have my lunch , snacks packed thee night before for my upcoming shift or shifts. I always did a power homemade drink to hold me through so when I or if I could eat . A smoothy with protein, yogurt, fruit, coffee.. dry , chi seeds, spinach, couple spoons full of peanut butter and then silk almond milk/ ice cubes 🧊. Drank it on the way to work. Then drank water while I looked up my patients labs and history, bathroom 🚽. That is when I would then … time to clock in … critical care, step down ER or change Nurses don’t have time once you scan that badge lol . I guess you have figured it out, if you not early in my book / your late lol 😂 That is the type of areas I worked through before!

Music—I know how to have fun; when I am not in a fun location! Music is also security! Patients/families do not hear all around them and speculate on what was heard… you know all the Nasty reports by patient’s/families, music was playing, report/nasty moments voided by music.
Cultivate your fellow staff members!!! Increase laughter, up lift spirits!!
I have always worked where you do not desire to visit in the medical field. Bose speaker is Magical!!
Cover your back as much as possible, someone is forever angry and you are a easy piece of meat to chew on…the lowest common denominator— patient is correct-family is correct- doctor is correct- management is correct-everone has State Board on speed dial!
