I have 27 years of nursing experience med-surg, telemetry, and ICU and most recently Tele/stepdown PCU How do I get into infusion nursing?? I am burned out from bedside nursing and has survived 3 bouts of cancer now looking to do something else

You shouldn't have any trouble if there are openings. I worked as an infusion nurse in an outpatient setting at an area hospital but there are also independent infusion clinics as well. With your nursing experience your shouldn't have any trouble honestly. You could also work towards becoming Certified Registered Nurse Infusion. I earned mine in Oklahoma through the INCC. "Infusion Nurses Certification Corporation, INCC" nationally recognized and accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) and the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification (ABSNC).

Many companies that do home infusions are looking for nurses who want to leave the bedside. Lots of pharmacies offer home infusion divisions like CVS for example.
Other companies are Nursing staffing for Home infusions specifically. Pay is really on or with national averages mileage reimbursement and the more you do the more you make !
