What is the nurse and techs patient ratio in a dialysis clinic? Here in Florida is not specified.
May 24th, 2023
The normal ratio is 1 nurse to twelve patients with 3 techs, each tech working a pod with 4 patients. There are typically two shifts of patients coming through the clinic in a work day, so eight patients per pod per day. Shift turnover is the busiest time in the day: the period during which the first patients are leaving and the second set of patients are coming on treatment.
