About Adventist Health Southern California

Adventist Health Southern California comprises three outstanding facilities: 1) Adventist Health Glendale (AHGL) is a 515-bed acute care medical center and magnet facility in Glendale, California providing state-of-the-art comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services to Los Angeles County. In 2014, AHGL was voted Best Hospital and Best Nurses by Glendale News-Press by Readers' Choice readers. It opened a Heart and Vascular institute, a state-of-the-art medical office and also acquired a Verdugo Hills Medical Associates urgent care and primary care. The city of Glendale is a thriving community located at the base of the Verdugo Mountains just north of downtown Los Angeles. It is the third largest city in Los Angeles County, covering more than 30 square miles. After three and a half years of intensive preparations, review and inspections, the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) formally recognized Adventist Health Glendale as a Magnet-designated healthcare organization. 2) Adventist Health Simi Valley (AHSV) is a 144-bed acute-care facility located in Ventura County, California, serving the communities of Simi Valley, Moorpark, Thousand Oaks and the West San Fernando Valley. Key services include cardiopulmonary, Child Development Center, imaging with CT, MRI and bone densitometry, emergency services, home health, GI lab, ICU/telemetry, inpatient and outpatient surgery, inpatient therapies (PT/OT/ST), laboratory, Level II NICU, The Nancy Reagan Breast Center, pharmacy and women’s services. Simi Valley's 125,000+ residents know the benefits of living in a community 'so close and yet so far' from Los Angeles. Close enough to take advantage of the big city amenities, while enjoying the peace, security and calm of suburban living. 3) Adventist Health White Memorial (AHWM) is a 353-bed teaching medical center in Boyle Heights, California, serving Los Angeles County. The medical center's key services include advanced diagnostic imaging with cardiac imaging capabilities, behavioral medicine, cancer care, cleft palate program, diabetes care and treatment, Level III emergency services (EDAP facility), gastroenterology, inpatient and outpatient surgical services, heart, vascular and stroke care (including an accredited STEMI Receiving Center, an Advanced Certification Primary Stroke Center and a state-of-the art arrhythmia treatment center), orthopedic care, Level III neonatal intensive care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing facility, women’s and children’s services. Just minutes from downtown Los Angeles, Adventist Health White Memorial is centrally located near some of the highest quality accommodations, restaurants, retail shops and attractions that this exciting city has to offer.
