I have only been at my current job as a Tele RN for 6.5 months. I have been wanting to leave the past month because it has become exhausting. I cry and try to find any reason to not go to work. Im not sure what to do.

What state are you located in? The reason I ask is because different states have different patient ratios. For example in California it's 1 nurse to 4 patients, but in New York it's 1:6. If you are in a state with higher patient ratios then maybe try going on a travel contract in a state with lower one. 6.5 months is very soon for experiencing burnout. I've been a nurse for 6 years and I have never felt that way I love my job. I've worked every unit tele, ICU, ER, now I'm a charge nurse. What is it about the work that you find so exhausting? Is it the bedside care? Because there are other nursing jobs like case management that don't involve bedside care. Or maybe get Picc line certified and just go around inserting picc lines. You could get a telehealth job that doesn't even involve patient physical contact.
