Do midwives work in hospitals?

Yes they do. we have a group of midwives that only have shifts in the hospital, no office work. they are our hospitalist midwives and work along side our doctors. We have a group that employs midwives that have office hours and do the deliveries in the hospital. Not all midwives work in birth centers or do home deliveries. They also recommend epidurals if that is what the patient desires

Yes they do. I am a labor and delivery nurse and my unit has mainly midwives.
