Insurance companies and now hospitals are having some work from home nurses in case management, UR/CR and PA.
You are trained remotely in a group setting with insurance companies. Some will pay for the fiberoptic internet, some will not, Pay is between $75K to over $100K, just depends. Advanced degrees (Master's) helps, certifications in CM, coding and a whole bunch of other certs will help you land a job.
Hey, search for HMOs plans, Medicaid managed long term care positions; some companies would call it LTTS; a few companies are hiring in NY: CVS health; Emblem, Empire; Elderplan, etc.
Avoid large case loads, 150 members is manageable, 180-200 would be stressful.
The pay varies from $80 to $110K yearly.
Training varies from 3-4 weeks - 5hrs x 7 days. And usually the work is during business hours Monday to Friday from 8-9AM to 4-5PM.
