I study for 4 weeks and I took it and passed the first time right out of school.. It took two weeks for me to get my ATT and i took it week 4… I could have done it week 3 but I got nervous and switched dates.
As long as you paid attention during your nursing program and did what you were supposed to do, you will do fine. I used U-World for 8 days and passed with flying colors.
Depends on your time/dedication. Remember if you didn’t learn everything in nursing school then you certainly aren’t going to learn it in 3 weeks time. I recommend skipping all the reading/reviewing and just stick with doing practice questions especially if you don’t have a lot of time. Set aside yourself a goal, like 50 questions a day or something along those lines. This is the best way to help you figure out HOW to answer the questions and get used to the style of NCLEX questions. You must have heard before “they can all be the right answer but what is the most correct answer” this is unfortunately true. So you have to focus on familiarizing yourself with the style of NCLEX questions. I took the NCLEX almost 10yrs ago but I just did practice questions non-stop and then reviewed a bit of the areas I was weak in, but I set aside I think 3 months. I think very similar review questions actually showed up on the real NCLEX. Good Luck!
