Considering the recent mass resignation of Dickinson State University's entire nursing faculty, how do you think the remaining nursing students are feeling about the situation?
Blame the school administrators because this just did not happen. It had been brewing for some time and as usual, the administrators ignored their concerns. A quick resolution to the problem is needed so the students do not suffer.
Too bad for the students for sure, but administrative leaders need to be held accountable! I am sure the faculty have been overwhelmed and this was the last resort!
I'm sure the nursing students are in a major panic. Just getting in to nursing school can be goulding ,and the constant classwork, clinical, and testing clis another monster to tame. Having been informed that ALL the nursing faculty has resign will cause the students to have blinders about their future. The best part of nursing school is graduating from an accredited institution. With the faculty resignations, the poor students has been ripped of their hopes and desires to enter a career they so desire. I just hope the heads of the university make prevision for those students. My prayers are with the students, the faculty and the heads at the university.
I have been an RN for about 20 years. I have taught nursing students, so I know how difficult it get sometimes to teach 50-75 students without the needed tools and backing from the higher ups. Again I hope a better solution is establishing for the students and the warned out faculty. Be encouraged.
They must be regretting choosing that school . How they can get quality education they need, such a pain for the students in the middle of the school , imagine how much money and effort they already paid .
It will affect their ability to provide safe patient care.
Mgr. look at dollars students want quality education for better patient care. Money is critical but a middle ground needs to be found.
There are a few things that should be corrected in facilities.
