Report them often, start a paper trail so that they will be fired.

I assume you have tried to discuss the problem causing the supervisor to become violent and aggressive. If it is physical violence file charges. That is against all hospital codes and would be unsupportable by administration no matter what. If it is verbal, go to y our director of nursing. Document all interactions, when and where they occurred and who was witness to it. If necessary, engage an lawyer or speak to the legal dept.at your institution.

De-escalate the patient verbally first
