I am considering working as a home health nurse, only have done bedside nursing at the hospital and coming out of a 2 year break😬. Any advice ? How is HH nursing? I’m looking to work for Banner.
Loved the patients and flexibility! If you have young kids could swing home it's great!! Beware, they the management expects alot in 8 hrs home care patients want to talk and you are on a timeline..Also computer/oasis work is lengthy no salary must be hourly!! Good luck !! I did it for 22 years!!
I worked in Home Health Nursing for many years and I enjoyed it.
Do your research on the company you would consider working with as a HHRN. Good luck DRKATH
I did home health for ten years of my career. It is a suitable type of nursing. It is more personal than bedside nursing and a bit more vulnerable. You are in their home, versus they are in your hospital. I enjoyed the hospice side of it the most. But please be aware that the paperwork required is horrendous. Anyone can learn a new type of nursing; that's the beauty of being a nurse. It is an excellent way to get back into work.
Don't do it. They are all short staffed and you will take home work with you.

If you are wanting more one on one with your patient and a slower pace then its great. If you want the thrill of the chaos then its too slow. I personally love it.
