Would you wear scrubs to a hospital job interview? If no, would you wear dress or pants?
No scrubs Dress nice for sucsess
I have emailed the talent coordinator to ask what the hospital preferred. Scrubs were encouraged so I could have a working interview after the initial talk. Shadowing the nurse, helping with small tasks, interacting with patients were all things that were encouraged. I think it is hospital preference.
You can wear scrubs but, if they do not have a crease and fit perfect then it's best to go with a nice pair of slacks and button up or a suit.
Business casual is the way to go....something neat that fits well, not too "busy" (distracting). I would go for pants so you don't have to worry about how "lady-like" you look while seated. Conservative makeup and jewelry, and lose the artificial nails (hey, I like them too but a lot of facilities don't allow them).Comfy shoes (you may go on a tour of the facility as part of the interview). Best of luck to you!!
I have worn scrubs to interviews. Never had a problem getting a job.
Wearing scrubs to a job interview may give the interviewer a false impression of what you can bring to the table. I would wear a nice casual dress or skirt set. In the end you wear what you like that is in line with the company’s dress code. Good Luck.
