Usually about 2 hours in broken times lots. It depends on the day, the patients acuity and their diagnoses; also, if there is an emergency of some kind
3hrs outside of work day
I enjoyed the home health company I worked for, however, I was a case manager and oversaw about 30 patients. Ultimately this meant I spent a lot of time charting because as a case manager, I did the initial visit that involved detailed assessment, teaching points, created the care plan, added all of the medications, and did OASIS assessments per Medicare requirements. I tried my best to do as much charting in the home as possible, but I still took work home. It is one of the reasons why I left home health, because I was putting in 55-60 hours per week but only getting paid for 40. I think it is much better/less work if you are not a case manager.
I only have one pt and I have 8hrs to get it done while doing pt care
Depends on number of patients seen but on average 2 hr daily, unless doing documentation for an admission which can take an additional 45 min to an hour setting up care plans, doing oasis.
