BSN new grad here with 6 months experience in MedSurg looking into working in clinical research. It's been difficult to get into it though without years of experience! Any suggestions to get in is appreciated!

I would look at jobs for RN clinical research coordinators. If you have a VA near you that is a good venue to start your research career. I started there and then moved to private research companies for 35 years. On the forefront of new medications in various diseases and conditions.

Oh my goodness, is this what they are trying to tell you? You need experience to be a research nurse... Remember to learn as you go along. Try to grasp your desired subject matter. Do not give up. In my years as a research nurse, I was given the protocol to read and go over and over and over. I was very anxious at the beginning as was the person that was in charge of me. Well, I surpassed all expectations.
