Should my home care manager have asked me to see a patient who knowingly smokes in the home with oxygen running 24 seven?

We require that an 02 contract is obtained if. Anyone smokes in the home. Also this needs to be reported to the physician and the company that provides the oxygen.

What my manager did was ask the patient to open the windows prior to my visit AND refrain from smoking during my visit. I wasn’t able to turn it down. My pregnant colleague was able to turn it down.
