What was the process like to apply for a multistate RN license?

The process? Well, I've gotten licenses in about 6 states thus far. The only difference I've run into is the following. Each state has variations on education requirements. Texas for example requires you take a special course and a test. Washington requires a state specific course. California takes FOREVER if you mess up your finger prints and is extremely expensive. But the only real difference between a compact and non compact license I know of is, you must be a resident of the State you are licensed in and you can ONLY be a resident in that state. For non compact states, just do the application and pay the fee. Some states require paper applications, some have all online. Residency is the only real difference between compact and non compact states that I'm aware of. The process is pretty much the same: go to board website, do the application, do your fingerprints, pay the fees and do any edu requirements.

It depends on what state you live in
