What is the starting pay for RNs in Texas?

Depends on number of experience. I have 10 years and was offered between $44-46 base rate, depending on healthcare system. I always counter. 😊

That depends on a lot of different factors. If you want a contract gig in a “new and booming area” you can make BANK (about 2k/wk).

If you want a full time gig, then again it depends on where and what sort of location. A lot of hospitals pay pretty well and so do surgery centers, but in the DFW area I see lower salaries than in Houston, Austin, or Abilene Tx.
(I get offered a lot of hospice contracts for Abilene that pay more than $2k/wk).

Bwtn 33-38/hr. Acute setting.
Depends on unit also

Actually the starting pay is backwards getting the most income of money but you may want to find something that is in computer science software technology or engineering data healthcare because it is a different universe out there in space life and its nice we were in the milky way at one point in time and please do reconsider me for the future

Obviously it depends on the area in which you are interested. Areas such as Houston, Dallas, San Antonio etc. are going to pay hire wages because of competition and need. The smaller areas obviously pay less. In Beaumont area or Southeast Texas we are paying about28 an hour days and nights an additional $4 an hour for shift diff for new grads.
