How can I improve my coordination when handing instruments to the surgeon?

Practice Practice Practice. Take some old instruments home and keep them in your hand all the time u can when you r very comfortable handling them you will b relaxed enough to be able to pass them to the surgeon and the assistant.
I spent 40 years I. Surgery started as an LPN scrub nurse and finished as a NP first assistant.
