How can I eventually get into emergency nursing speaking as a new graduate nurse?

Try and shadow in the ED. That is exactly what i have been doing for the last month but I was a Paramedic prior to becoming a nurse and I already had PALS,BLS,ALS. I added TNCC to that and it helped me get started.

Start by applying to open positions. The various certications will be completed during orientation

Start by getting ACLS and PALS certified through accredited agencies like American Heart Association. Gain experience in a hospital setting, preferably in areas like medical-surgical or critical care units. Seek mentorship from experienced nurses and consider volunteering with local Rescue/Fire Departments to sharpen skills, or can also volunteer with your local Red Cross chapter. Hands on experience, proactive patient care, and mentorship can pave the way to transitioning into emergency nursing.
