Seasoned pediatric nurses... Any advice or heads up for a nursing student planning to go into pediatrics?

make sure you have your own malpractice insurance. Pediatrics has one of the highest liabilities. Hint: the hospital may say they will cover you under theirs. After they settle out of court, they will fire you as you are now a liability. please know how the malpractice laws work in your state and call nursing organizations for the bast malpractice. It's approx 200/year which is a drop in the bucket.
