$35-45 more depending on experience.
The starting pay is Oregon truly varies across the board. There are several factors involved
*years of experience
Entry level right now is between high $20's to low $30's
*specialty. ( some places require you to have so much experience for certain specialties). It is hard to get experience if they don't give it to you.
*There is a shortage so some companies are paying more to entice nurses to work for them.
*pick a specialty, don't take the 1st job offered. Bargain.
* contract work can be experience & pay is good.
It depends on where you work hospitals in southern Oregon seem to start at $34-36/hour for newby's. Everyone is so desperate for nurses here, I am sure there are jobs that pay more.
I’m not sure where you live or if you are thinking about moving here. My employer is PDX based. You can look at Oregon Nursing Association website. They are the union for a large portion of Oregon Nurses. The pay scales are posted in the contracts. My union is OFNHP and our older wages are online too.
