How do you approach a co-worker, that you get along with, who has bad bedside manners? I don't want to create drama but I can't help but feel bad for their patients.

Take them to a private area and just be honest with them. I have a friend who is a co-worker and when she does something that shouldn't be done the way she does it, I let her know. I'm not mean about it and give a full explanation of my reasoning. She is very receptive to my comments and honesty. Also, she will do the same to me. Sometimes listening to other's opinions keeps you on your toes and can make you a better co-worker.

Pull to them to the side and have a conversation. Ask them in a hypothetical way how they would handle the situation if it were them, that way you can gauge how they may react and prepare.
