Minneapolis looking to transition from MS/tele to ICU or ER in a staff position. Any classes I can take to make myself more employable? How do I transition into a new area without that experience?

look into shadowing on those units, having acls/pals/ekg arrhythmia certs is helpful for ER (possible already have if you work tele). look into course through your employers education dept (mine had a critical care course catered for new grads/new specialty). trauma or critical care certs also a plus

Make experience your friend, offer to help in those areas and find a mentor and learn it. IT is the best way. Reality shock after a book or a class is overwhelming
