I’m not sure if you’re asking in general as in the percentage of nurses who work in schools? That would maybe be lower than 10% of all nurses. I worked as a school nurse about 15 years ago for about a year. I was in an elementary school, the only nurse for about 700 kids and they had a special education program. Pay and benefits were not good for my situation but some school districts will include the nurse in with the teachers benefits. I was “ancillary staff”.
