What nursing positions are available to new grads that are not hospital jobs?
Check clinics they are often willing to train a new grad.
I worked in a hospital right out of RN school BUT not a bedside nurse. I was a training and education coordinator at big county hospital. I do have a masters in health education before, BUT there are many things that are outside of bedside nursing. Check public health offices non profits etc
Nursing Home, subacute, and Home Health
Type in new grad RN’s on indeed with your location and multiple locations will pop up
Also look for new grad programs
I believe that you are doing yourself a disservice by not working in the hospital for a year. I hated every minute of it while it was going on however, I saw the value once my year was completed. That being said I took a legal nursing course and found out during the course that one nurse was a recent graduate and took the legal nursing under her belt and started a career. You also are in a good space to write. There are a lot of opportunities on LinkedIn. Join the nurse entrepreneurs' group. Consider additional training or stay in school and get a Doctorate and work in research. At some point you may have to complete a practicum in the hospital. Is there a reason that you don't want to work in the hospital? This may be a question that you can anticipate as you search for opportunities. Best regards,

It seems since there is a nursing shortage you probably could go into any area of nursing you want. I’ve seen many new grads go work as school nurse. Clinic jobs might be available, concierge nursing, virtual health … the opportunities are endless in nursing !!!
