How to return to nursing after 10 years break with an active RN license?

It’s quite hard. I had a 15 year break to raise my children after 10 years and open heart surgery, I trained both nurses and surgical tech,, but everybody said that I would need to be “retrained“ the only way I got hired was to go back to the original place That I started. The hospital that I did my first 10 years at. I had to move away from my husband my family thankfully my kids are grown now, I had planned to gain some experience and then come back home and show them that I am retrained lol yeah that’s the only way I did it
