What are some volunteer jobs besides the hospital for nursing students/ nurses to join?

I joined my Student Nurse Association while in nursing school. We always had volunteer opportunities in the community such as the AHA heart walk, a Turkey Drive, a Toy Drive, etc. You can also volunteer at local shelters.
