Is there a time in your nursing career that you advised a patient not to follow the doctor’s order?

Disregarding a doctor’s order can get you fired. If you feel that the doctor’s orders are unsafe, either page the doctor, and talk to him/her (doctors make mistakes too). If the doctor is adamant, then tell your charge nurse or unit manager.
