It’s very hard if you are not at the bedside and you don’t have recent inpatient experience. I’ve been a nurse for 11 years, 6 was spent in critical care with Magnet institutions. I also have a doctorate degree in Population Health, and I can’t find a job. I’m hoping and praying the CDC contacts me or the VA.
Otherwise, I'm finding it impossible to land a job with the local hospitals. We are overqualified and have not established relationships with the healthcare organization here. When I lived in Ohio, I had multiple offers daily.
I see outpatient managerial jobs on Indeed, but 100’s, even thousands, of applicants apply for the same position. It’s nuts.
Hopefully, by the time you read this, you have found a position. Many blessings.
There are multiple jobs in Atlanta. Where are your searching?
Indeed, glassdoor. Most facilities offer residency programs for nurses.
It’s not. Depends on the field. What hospital are you looking at? You can use me as a reference for Northside if you’d like.
