Where can I find a refresher course to re-enter the workforce after 7 years in retirement? The last 20 years of career before retirement focused in healthcare technology/informatics and project management?

Call the nursing departments of your local colleges and universities. I used to teach the peri-op portion of the refresher ourses where I was on faculty as it was offered twice a year. If the schools do not offer refreshers themselves, try your State Nurses' Association's education unit for information. In addtion, check for ads in any clinically-focused nursing journals and check with any of your local hospitals, as they also may offer refresher courses. As a f inal thought, the didactic part may be done on line, although you would have to ask about what each institution in which you are interested would require for a clinical skills refresher. I would highly recommend A New Day RN refresher course. It’s done online although I forget where they are based out of. The nurse instructor is incredible.
