A gift is great, but a written thank you note means a lot. Also, as with everything, your preceptor answers to someone…..writing a note to their boss about your positive experience is always appreciated.

A gift card to a restaurant or a spa treatment. Even gift cards to a favorite craft store, if they like crafts. A nice thank you to all the staff is also welcome. A box of cookies or a box of donuts goes a long way.
I believe most of us survive on coffee so a local coffee shop gift card is a wonderful thing. However, the best thing I received was a fluffy robe. The student took the time to know my current situation: I just moved into my new house with a tub that I looked forward to soaking in after work. She got me the robe with some epson salts!
