Has anyone worked with BAYCARE in Tampa Florida ? How was it? Pros and cons?
I worked there both as a traveler during covid and also their internal traveler. I for one do like the company and the general areas. BUT, they have decreased the pay of SRO seasonal pool (internal traveler) to the point it makes it difficult to duplicate expenses and still make enough money to pay your regular bills( at least for me. If not strapped with a lot of bills, then it’s ideal). As with any medical community you will always find a few of those people you would love to do pillow therapy on, I was happy for the most point. Depending on your specialty, you will either find many options or be very few. I will say that i have not heard as much good things about the “long term care” hospital program, many from staff members. Hope this helps…rent in Florida is horrible all over the state but even higher in “vacation areas”.
I worked for Baycare very briefly. It was not my cup of tea. They nurses were not team players and were very clicky. I’ve been with HCA for a few years and get paid more and actually like it better
I have been with Baycare for 15yrs. Is a great company. I started as a tech now a nurse. The pay is Ok, no complaints.
