To my fellow nurses, what's the most rewarding part of your job?

I’ve worked NICU/PICU my entire career…. Helping Mom or Dad hold their little one the first time no matter how many tubes/wires is my favorite…. Helping the family see past the tubes wires fear to completely fall in love with their little one is by far the best

Just the appreciation you get from the patients. Also, if they are repeat admits or have a family member admitted, that they remember your name fondly!
