How can a nurse get experience in Quality, Audit, Utilization Review or Case Review positions? I can't do bedside anymore and I need to find a job like these but after 120 applications I'm always turned down? Anybody out there with any suggestions?

Based on my experience, having an IT education and background prior to nursing, initially helped me enter a Quality Assurance Specialist position after a couple years at the bedside. Another option is a Clinical Documentation Specialist position, being what my wife entered following many years as an ED nurse. Both of these positions evolved into work-from-home positions, being a secondary benefit in some cases.

You have to take courses and they are expensive. Look up Certified Utilization Review RN . You must be certified. 😔
