Big hospitals do take some time to get your application from HR to the hiring manager. I’d say it might be a week before you’d hear anything from an application.
You can get hired even before your license arrives. I worked in CNA capacity while I was in Nursing School. Once I graduated from Nursing School I was transitioned to a Graduate Nurse role with some limitations and as soon as my RN license arrived I was given a full RN role. It was a great experience because the seasoned nurses I work with were always teaching me on the job. They would pull me into rooms and show me what to do if I saw this or that happening. This was very helpful to me in developing my nursing assessment skills. They were awesome to me and I got a great introduction to my role as an RN!
You can be hired as a graduate Nurse pending receiving your license for full practice.
