What is the process like to get RN license in New York after get licensed in CA? Any advice?

You will need to be licensed by Endorsement, since you have a California license. Contact the Office of Professions in New York State.

I just got my RN license in NY and it was fairly easy. They have a wonderful checklist with several pathways to choose from from their online board of nursing. Just choose your pathway, and complete the checklist. I had my license with two weeks after everything had been submitted. To start, google “NY BON” and click on “How to Apply”. The pathways will show up and take it from there. You essentially need to do the online application ($143), verify your CA license through nursys ($30), complete the mandatory child abuse and hand hygiene exucation (bought an online bundle for $30)and transfer your nursing school/college transcripts (price depends on your school…mine was $8) Good Luck!
