Why do states have so many continuing education requirements? Do you think they're really necessary?

Just like the CPR course updates the material every few years based on new research, we update and change nursing education based on the same thing. YES. Continuing edcation is essential to keep your practice current so you can deliver the highest quality care. It is also important because you will be aware more readily of any changes in law that may affect your practice and therefore your license.
