How can I improve my chances of moving from inpatient bedside nursing to outpatient/PACU nursing? Currently have been a stepdown nurse for 3 years and I am looking to transition to PACU or OR, preferably outpatient center. Thanks!!

Here are a couple suggestions that may be considered:
Network, network, network. Seek out an outpatient PACU and an OR nurse and ask them what is it like to work in any one of the desired clinical practice areas. Also, continue to ‘hone’ in on skills such as strong critical thinking, effective communication, etc.Interviewers routinely ask questions around clinical scenarios to gain as much insights on ones skills applications. Stepdown nurses are highly skilled and can definitely make significant contribution in these areas. You are on your way!
