Which facility is best to work as new RN - LTC/rehab or hospital?

I definitely recommend a hospital! LTACs and rehabs keep nurses very busy and it’s very easy as a new grad to learn to do things the wrong way. Hospitals typically have smaller ratios and more opportunity to learn to things properly before taking on a busier assignment.

What area do you prefer? I just left ltac and I didn’t like it. I am ok with rehab and med surg. Rehab is easier since the peeps are up and about with PT intervention. Med surg the nurse becomes PT too at times If you want to advance. Hospital is advantageous to you
