What job can I do while being a new RN grad and no experience except clinicals. Has to be part time as I can not do full time at this moment and has to be in nursing. Thank you in advance for answering my question.

med surg will give you a variety of patients. It will help you with organization and time management. If you have telemetry take time to learn ekg strips. If you are near an academic institution there is a wealth of opportunity to learn from nurses an physicians. Good place to start and probably the only real opportunity for a part time position as a new grad. Ask lots of questions from your experienced colleagues. Lots to learn that was not in the classroom. Specialty positions really need to be full time to get the orientation needed. After a year you should have a good foundation to move to a specialty area if you desire or a specialty med surg unit. A good book to read is From Novice to expert by Patricia Benner. Good insight moving from new grad to experienced one. Very short read.
