The ones that comes to my mine which have the greatest impact on patient care would be medication errors and patient falls. Falls prevention is helped by identify who's high risk . Most hospitals have protocols but these may be ineffective if staffing is inadequate. Managing meditation error is as simple as Right patient Right drug ,Right dose ,Right route. Question any orders for medication that's not the standard treatment Administer drugs following your facility protocol. People who look for a quicker way to get around it are setting themselves up for errors. Be cautious when override medication from the pyxis for emergency usage. Always make sure you have the patient's drug allergies up to date.
