No. That is ridiculous pay for the amount of training and responsibility this job requires. With housing/inflation it’s not even a sustainable income.
I work in Home Health and make $25/hr as a LPN. I think for a RN that is too low.
No, As a new grad last year.. I started off making $30 & I live in Florida.
What??? No way! That is not even starting new grad pay here in Missouri and our cost of living is much lower. Keep looking for the right spot at the appropriate pay.🙂
My last staff position I was being paid $32 plus a $5 night differential in Hollywood FL. Been an RN for 5+ years.
Come to California and make $100/hour
Depends on the length of experience. A new grad should be making this. For someone with experience, this rate is too low.
NO
Is too low. I got 3 offers in Jacksonville/Florida and they start at $32 while in training
Nope. I started higher than that 5 years ago. Florida nurse pay sucks. Everywhere. Even the travel nurse rates suck.
That's about what I was making as a new grad in 1980!
"worth it" is up to you to decide. Do you think it's worth it?
How many years of experience in nursing?
Cost of living in Florida
No,not even LPNs in NYC make that anymore! Florida is as expensive as NY now ! Come to NY and the Metro Area
It really depends on if it is worth it to you to get in and get experience. I have never worked in Florida. I am from California but my first position I started at $57/hr. I now have 13years of experience and make $134/hr.
$33/he in the facility that I work! $26/hrs for LPN
Usually the more south you go the lower the salary becomes. CA n NY PAY approx 3 x the salary you quoted.
Living expenses are high in NY less in North CA. Cost of living is high. Stay close to the hospital to save on gas.
Good luck.
Helen.
As a new grad in South Florida I started off with $23/hr. Lived at home with parents. It depends on your budget
it really comes done to your skill CVICU vs med surg or some other no elite office nurses and school nurses are not alway compensated as a hospital nurse .
No. Depending on experience it should be over $30/hour
That salary is for a new grad nurse, or maybe long term care facility that have lower salaries, here in Fl, Miami Salaries are higher than Central Florida
No not at all . I was making 110 per hour in California before I retired in a hospital in Bay Area I make $70 in a doctor’s office now
You are welcome.
It’s c
As a New Grad in Central Florida that isn't too abnormal
No. Cost of living and patient ratio
