What's the most common career change for nurses?

Stepping away from the bedside is my guess. My nursing school cohort has left bedside for research, working remotely for insurance companies, even at correctional facilities. I left to work in an outpatient clinic. Big pay cut but quality of life is better and I don't hate coming in to work anymore.
