Professionally no. It just isn't good manners. Some notice is needed.

You cannot abandon a patient assignment. If you do you will loose your license.
It is always better for you to give notice because you want a good reference.
I have heard of a colleague, who was attacked by patients at a psychiatric facility for adolescents. In this case, he did not return.
There’s factors you have to weigh in.
Are you personally at risk?
Is your license in jeopardy in a certain role?
If you answered yes, then there’s your answer.

NO!! Will not look well in your resume . Eventually will haunt you in the long run. Be considerate and compassionate on the impact that occurs when you suddenly decide to quit!!??!
Patients will suffer for this and your co-workers will have to juggle patients around. Please don’t just quit be responsible and adult about your situation.
