What are the best colleges for neonatal nursing in california?

You first of all have to apply and graduate from a nursing program, pass the N-CLEX and become a registered nurse. Once you become a nurse you can go into various areas of nursing such as Maternal Health, Med/Surg, ICU, NICU, ER, Psych or Clinics. The opportunities are varied, most hospitals have new nurse internship programs so that you can learn your area of interest.
Good Luck :-)

Neonatal ICU is not taught in AA or BSN colleges. Large NICU s train new graduates in internships or preceptorships, with Neonatal Resuscitation Program added to all-member CPR courses. I have been part of 3-9 month preceptorships & internships. These are paid trainings, sometimes with a contract to work 1-2 years after graduation from preceptorship.
