Reentering the workforce! What is the best way to get trained (and hired!) for outpatient Infusion/Oncology? I was a hospice nurse for 4 years, have taken 2 years off work. I have already completed the ONS chemo/infusion course online. Thanks!

In your cover letter, you need to put in it why you were off for 2 years, making sure you are honest about it too. Of course having your ONS chemo/infusion course online finished is a great way to lead with your application letter.

Well you’ve got the certification needed, I would just suggest you brush up on you PIV skills since a it’s been a little while since you’ve been practicing. I would also do the research on anemia, Iron infusion, and blood transfusions. We do a lot of both in outpatient infusion
