I’m an operating room nurse and my main service line is ENT surgery. Also being a holistic nurse, I think about three of the fives senses are housed in this area in addition to the blessing of breath. This may sound a little woo woo but I like practicing from the mindset of restorative health.
There is a wide variety of patients in my clinic with a wide variety of problems. Newborns to geriatrics and everyone in between. I enjoy the complexity of our patients as well.
I loved being an ENT nurse. It’s a specialty that encompasses head and neck surgery, ear surgery, facial plastics, allergy medicine, and more. Patients can range from infants to seniors. I loved the challenges of diagnosis and always looking beyond the most common for the unusual. Now in retirement I miss being an ENT nurse!!!!
