How!? I took my NCLEX a couple months ago and unfortunately did not pass. I’m finding it very hard to get back on the horse and study. I want to take and pass my NCLEX sooner then later. Any suggestions?

Download mark klimek notes, Use Uworld, practice 75 questions every day (take uworld assessment a week before your exam) and archers review to increase your confidence! You can do it!

I wouldn't let too much time pass, but you need to be mentally ready to put the time and effort into studying. I'm not sure how you study, but for me I used Uworld at home taking their practice tests and listened to Hurst in the car on the way to work and I felt that they complimented each other well. The things I did not really understand reading on Uworld I was able to make sense of them after listening to the Hurst lectures. This was also 5 years ago so I'm not to sure if things have changed much.

Take one week and study as many test question that you can. Remember you are only expected to answer want a new nurse would do. Remember assessment is always first!!!

I suggest Archer! It’s worded just like the NCLEX! Also listen to Mark Klimek!!

As another poster stated “Uworld!” It worked for me . Also, it helps to let you know which category. You do well in and need to be stronger in. Lippincott q&a book is great as well. It break down Med-Surg,Psych ,Peds etc. Good Luck !

I used UWorld to study. I would practice everyday. My goal was 10 correct answers in a row. Sometimes that would take 10 questions, sometimes it would take 50 or more. I kept track of questions I got wrong so I could find trends. This helped knowing what areas I needed to study more.

Be determined but don’t be too hard on myself. Set realistic, time boxed goals and put in place actions plan towards those goals.

The

I too did not pass the first time, however I treated it(studying) like a job. Everyday until that last week I studied. Archer review is very good and cheaper than uworld. Good luck, and you will do great next time around.

I'm so sorry you didn't pass. That's so hard. You can totally do this! There are a lot of RN tutors and maybe having someone to talk about your rationale with could be useful. Keep running through your questions..the quiz book probably doesn't matter that much. All of your answers are for "NCLEX Hospital," not the real world, so think about how THEY want you to assess and approach a situation.

Test anxiety can be a a big issue when sitting for these tests. You know the information you just need to remember that your 1st answer is always right and to study then just go and do it. Be confident in your abilities you can do this!!

Take a prep class. I didn’t have to study independently after that.

Congratulations on your success as a new grad. Please don’t get discouraged. I used the program called Bootcamp.com. It was awesome the practice questions were similar to the next generation NCLEX exam. They gave questions in different areas of nursing such as critical care Peds and Adults, pharmacology, psych and so forth. The rationale makes you understand the question if u got it wrong why and even if you get it right make sure you understand why you got it right. When you go to sit for your next exam stay calm, cool and collective. Allow the material in your mind to flow with each question that presents. I hope this helps and good luck.

There are many free NCLEX quizzes online. I understand it's hard to get back to studying after you failed the first test. But you put a lot of work into becoming a nurse. Don't give up and throw that away.

Use Nclex high yield and uworld. Complete the whole review of Nclex highyield. You would do just fine

Don't give up

Pray and make a schedule. Try practicing more questions and reading the rationals even if you got it right. Study by subjects, even 10 to 30 questions a day is good. And per week take an actual exam of 75 questions or more, pace yourself, time is your enemy! But make sure u read each carefully and answer to the best of your understanding. The more you do this the better your get at it. Buy uworld or any other nclex studying tool that has lots of questions. If you do them you should be fine you don’t really need to read too much just go over your weaker subjects.

It took me a few years to pass my test, but once I found Bola review . I passed about a week after the class ended.

Definitely UWorld. Everyone told me to just use it to study, and i did... but i also studied crazy amounts of my regular notes. uworld gives you reasons why each answer is wrong or right and gives you a percentage score on the tested areas. Definitely use it.

Take Archer Review.

See if you can find a review course you can join or purchase. Also get a really NCLEX review book. Do practice questions and read the rationale. Don’t overthink your answers.

James 1:5-6 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
