What can I do. I excuse myself from work due to toxic colleagues and managers. For about 6 month, now employer are asking for gap in my service and non of my references is responding to my new job.

Contact HR at your former employer - they have to respond by at least verifying the dates of your employment and if you are rehirable status or not to your new employer. As for the 6 month gap, sometimes if you can speak to something you were doing to help grow your skills (going back to school, working on a certification, community volunteering) helps. Otherwise, you could state that you had to attend to a health matter and leave it at that.
